Wood Gas

Wood gasification turns wood chips, coconut husks and other biomass into a fuel gas that can cook, heat and run engines.

Wood gasification turns wood chips, coconut husks and other biomass into a fuel gas that can cook, heat and run engines. We fire up a gasifier, explain the zones inside it, and cover fuel preparation, filtering, startup, shutdown and the carbon monoxide safety rules that come first. You’ll see how biochar comes out the other end as a bonus.
