Rainwater Catchment & Gravity Water Systems

Design and build a complete roof-to-tap water system — gutters, first-flush, storage, filtration and gravity pressure — with no pumps and no utility bill.

Design and build a complete roof-to-tap water system — gutters, first-flush, storage, filtration and gravity pressure — with no pumps and no utility bill. Water is the first system every homestead needs and the one most often built wrong. Over three days you’ll learn how to calculate how much water your roof can actually harvest, size storage for the dry season, and move it to where you need it using gravity alone. You’ll leave with a worksheet sized for your own property. You’ll learn: Rainfall data and catchment math for Caribbean climates; Gutter, downspout and first-flush diverter design; Tank selection: ferro-cement, poly, and IBC options; Sediment, carbon and biological filtration; disinfection; Head pressure, pipe sizing and gravity distribution; Mosquito control and tank maintenance.
